Intervention in the demo sites

Objective
To implement and monitor the AEGIR renovation systems in four real-life demo sites (Spain, France, Denmark, and Romania), ensuring compliance with national regulations, integrating sustainable materials, and evaluating performance through common procedures and real data.
Activities carried out
- Defined common technical and regulatory procedures for all demos.
- Developed specific intervention designs and facade strategies for each demo site.
- Carried out structural and energy assessments, material explorations, and PV integration plans.

Results
French Demo Site
- An industrialized wood-based façade was designed for a senior residence. Integrated ventilation system, active windows, blow eco-insulation, photovoltaic and hybrid photovoltaic-thermal panels, etc. address energy and accessibility needs.
Spanish Demo Site
- A school in Malgrat de Mar will feature a HPL and biocomposite industrialized façade with angular shading elements, active windows, and integrated ventilation with ducts incorporated into the aesthetic design.
Romanian Demo Site
- A single-family home will be retrofitted with and industrialized façade with active windows, mechanical ventilation and photovoltaic and hybrid photovoltaic-thermal panels and geothermal heat pumps.
Danish Demo Site
- A curtain wall system with modular biobased materials, PV integration, active windows, mechanical ventilation was designed for a residential building. The layout adapts to building orientation and energy needs and energy production strategies.
- Tailored control documents and design templates for each site

- Material and economic evaluations supporting scalability of AEGIR solutions
