AEGIR at Facade 2024 - Circular!

On 6 November 2024, the international conference Facade 2024 – Circular! took place for the seventh time in Lucerne, Switzerland. The event was organised by the Competence Center for Building Envelopes and Structural Engineering of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts T&A, together with the Swiss Central Office for Windows and Facades (SZFF).

The conference series forms part of the activities of the European Facade Network (EFN), an interest group and knowledge network dedicated to façades. Internationally renowned scientists, engineers and architects came together to present and discuss the opportunities, challenges and solutions for applying circular economy principles in the field of façade design and construction.

In an afternoon session on Innovation and research, Thaleia Konstantinou from TU Delft presented the research carried out at TU Delft within the framework of the AEGIR project, in her talk Building components design as an enabler for a circular built environment.
