On 26 February 2025, AEGIR was presented by representatives from ICLEI during the third WeConnect online webinar, “The power of energy refurbishment.” 

The webinar formed part of the WeConnect Fellow Cities Exchange Programme, which brings together WeGenerate Fellow Cities for peer-learning workshops, hands-on exercises and thematic exchanges. 

This third session focused on energy refurbishment as a catalyst for climate-resilient urban transformation. ICLEI’s representative highlighted the importance of holistic renovation approaches, which combine advanced building materials, renewable energy integration and community co-design. Within this context, AEGIR was introduced as a European project demonstrating modular, AI-driven retrofit solutions that make large-scale renovation more efficient, adaptable and sustainable. 

Through such exchanges, AEGIR continues to share innovative practices with cities and stakeholders across Europe, contributing to the wider uptake of transformative renovation strategies.
