The AEGIR project is pleased to invite you to the second session of its Demo-led Replication Workshop Series (DWS). These workshops bring together architects, engineers, building owners, policymakers and researchers to explore how industrialised deep-energy renovation can be scaled across Europe. They aim to highlight the approaches and solutions for intervention at AEGIR demo sites, covering digital twin (BIM) workflows, façade technology, integrated ventilation, energy systems, and the pathway to replication in other buildings across Europe.
This second session (DWS 3&4) is scheduled on 30 April, 2026, 11:00-12:00 CEST, and will spotlight two of AEGIR’s four demonstration sites: a residential building in Høje-Taastrup, Denmark and a single-family residential building in Oradea, Romania. The two buildings are undergoing a comprehensive retrofit using AEGIR’s industrialised deep renovation approach, with prefabricated and highly customisable façade and building envelope solutions, integrating advanced thermal insulation, renewable energy components such as photovoltaics and hybrid systems, and improved ventilation concepts to enhance energy efficiency and indoor comfort.
In addition, Westaflex, a technical partner, will present how innovative solutions are being applied across the AEGIR demo sites, integrating smart ventilation and heat recovery into deep renovation.
What makes AEGIR’s approach distinctive is its industrialised, off-site fabrication model. Standardised façade modules are manufactured away from the building site and installed rapidly, minimising disruption to occupants and dramatically reducing construction time.
AEGIR (Digital and physical incremental renovation packages enhancing environmental and energetic behaviour and use of resources) is a Horizon Europe project developing and demonstrating prefabricated façade systems for deep-energy renovation across four European pilot buildings.
